Sept. 4, 2008: Fall 2008 PLANT Classes. Beginning on Sept. 25, Mecklenburg County’s Piedmont Landscape and Naturescape Training – PLANT – program will offer classes in composting, grasscycling, toxicity reduction, Southern xeriscaping, soil testing and habitat.
Sept. 2, 2008: Fall Gardening Seminars at the Public Library. Starting Feb. 8, 2009, the county's Public Library system and solid waste department will team up to present a series of seminars on gardening.
